A couple of weeks ago I headed to The Stable Bournemouth with the Bournemouth Bloggers for their exclusive ‘Pizza School’ where we got to learn all about how their delicious pizzas are made as well as having a chance to make our own.
On arrival, we headed to the bar to grab a drink. As The Stable is well known for its cider, I opted for one of their refreshing fruit ciders and the bartender was very helpful in helping me decide which cider to go for. We then made our way over to the area which had been reserved for our group and it was lovely to have a catch up with the bloggers whilst waiting for everyone to arrive.
Once everyone had arrived, we were introduced to Patrick, the Executive Chef of The Stable, who explained the itinerary of the evening whilst we tucked into some locally sourced nibbles and breads.
Patrick began by showing us how they make their own tomato sauce on site at all of their restaurants. He explained how they get the sauce tasting just right, letting us into a few of secrets and ingredients behind the great taste, there is certainly a lot of attention to detail and care put into this.
Next we were introduced to Charlie who alongside Patrick, showed us how their dough is made. He explained that it was a trial and error process to find the perfect amounts of yeast and water as well as their organic flour to make their signature crispy pizza bases.
We then had a little break to get another drink whilst the tables were reset for us to have a go at making our own pizzas and was an opportunity to take some photos.
It was then our chance to make our own creations, we were given a wide selection of different ingredients and I may have got slightly carried away with all of the sumptuous toppings and cheese but you can never had enough cheese right?! I was really pleased with the end result and it was absolutely delicious.
It was such a great evening and really informative as well, it was interesting to find out more behind the background of The Stable and it was clear to see the staff are really passionate about the company and their food. The restaurant has such a lovely relaxing atmosphere and would be perfect for a date night or catch up with friends and I will definitely be heading back soon to try more of their mouthwatering dishes.
We were provided with complimentary drinks, nibbles and pizzas in exchange for a blog post however all words and images are my own (unless credited).
