On arrival we were given a brief demonstration on how to make the crowns. We then started to choose from a gorgeous selection of faux silk flowers that we wanted to use, I chose a variety of pinks and creams.
We then wrapped a piece of twine around our heads to the desired length ensuring that there was a little extra to allow for fastening it at the end.
With the flowers that we had chose, we grouped them in bunches of 2 or 3 and fastened them together using the floristry wire and placed them around the crown until we were happy with how they looked.
Once we had positioned them all around the crown, we then began to attach them to the twine using the floristry wire before wrapping green floristry tape around the band ensuring that all of the wire was covered, this was certainly a lot more tricky than I thought it would be!
To finish our beautiful flower crowns I opted for pink and cream ribbon to tie it into a bow at the back.
I felt really proud of what I had created and thoroughly enjoyed the workshop, it was lovely to have a catch up with the girls with cookies and drinks whilst creating these gorgeous pieces.
