I absolutely love a good cocktail so when I got the email about attending a cocktail making masterclass at Cosy Club in Bournemouth with some of the Bournemouth Bloggers, I jumped at the chance to attend.
After a busy day running round after both the girls, it was lovely to have the opportunity to relax and have a few drinks with some fellow bloggers.
It is conveniently located in the centre of Bournemouth however I had never been to the Cosy Club before but had kept meaning to go every time I walked past.
On arrival, I was initially surprised how spacious the bar is and I loved the decor and the welcoming vibe. The bar is split over three floors, each floor boasts Art Deco features and mismatched furniture. The event was taking place in the top level (The Deck) which is also available for private hire.
As we arrived, we were presented with our first cocktail which was the gorgeous English Rose with floating edible rose petals (they didn’t taste as nice as they looked so I ended up picking them out but they did look very pretty!)
Whilst enjoying our cocktail, we were given some information about Cosy Club and it was interesting to find out the history behind them and what their vision is for the Bournemouth franchise. I loved the cute little touches such as the scrabble board with the personalised message on and the different table decorations. There are lots of cosy seating areas both inside and also on the rooftop terrace.
We were then given the opportunity to have a go behind the bar at making our own cocktail. The barman talked us through the how to make the cocktails and gave us the choice of making either the Cherry Bakewell or the Rhubarb & Ginger bramble. As I have a sweet tooth, the barman recommended the Cherry Bakewell which was very sweet but absolutely delicious.
After everyone had finished making their cocktails, the staff began to bring out an extensive selection of some of the bars tapas menu which all looked extremely appetising. The mini burgers were so yummy and I could have definitely eaten a few of them. Whilst we tucked into the food, we were given a sample of the English garden cocktail which was lovely and very refreshing.
I thoroughly enjoyed the event and I will definitely be going back soon to try some more of the cocktails and food from the extensive menu.
We were kindly provided the food and drinks for the purpose of this review post however all opinions and photos are my own (unless credited).
