Yesterday morning I was kindly invited along with some of the other Bournemouth Bloggers to The Real Eating Company to sample their breakfast menu. As much as I love going out for lunch and dinner with friends, I also love to go out for breakfast and have a catch up over a coffee and a full English.
When I headed inside, I was surprised how spacious the cafe is. From the outside it looks smaller but it goes quite far back and it has such a welcoming and cosy atmosphere. The neutral decor is contemporary and inviting with some of the original Victorian features still in place.
With the rise of modern eateries, it was nice to go somewhere which has some of the features of a traditional cafe, I especially liked the flowers on the tables and the daily newspapers which were available to read whilst having breakfast. The independent cafe is set just off one of the main shopping areas and is one of Bournemouth’s hidden gems.On arrival, we were greeted by a member of staff and shown to our table. Once the other bloggers arrived, we were given some information about the different hot and cold drinks available. They explained the orange juice was freshly squeezed (which I was eager to try out and it was so refreshing!) We were then served hot drinks before tucking into the croissants and pastries, just how I would love every day to begin!
We were then given the breakfast menu and there was so much to choose from. I decided to go for the full English breakfast which tasted as good as it looks and it definitely didn’t disappoint! The portion sizes were very generous and my eyes were certainly bigger than my belly! The breakfast menu had plenty of variety and something to suit everyone whether you’re after a full English or a light snack.
I was invited along to sample the breakfast for the purpose of this post, however all opinions and images are my own.
