I’ve been a fan of the Body Shop ever since I was a child when I used to go along with my mum to her friends Body Shop parties. I remember smelling all the products and they smelt absolutely divine and nothing has changed about that.
I was so happy when I received the email from Bournemouth Bloggers inviting me to the VIP event at their Bournemouth store last Sunday evening.
The event was held after the store was closed to the public allowing us to browse the shop whilst enjoying glasses of prosecco. On arrival we were introduced to the team and then able to browse the store at our own leisure. The members of staff were on hand giving product demonstrations as well as discussing the products. As well as the product demos, the staff were giving mini makeovers and giving one on one consultations.
As soon as we entered the store there was a display with their limited edition autumn range – Vanilla Pumpkin which smells just amazing! It smells just like autumn bottled up and is almost good enough to eat. In the range there is a hand cream, shower gel and a body butter. I couldn’t resist them and treated myself to the hand cream and shower gel and I can’t rate them enough. I’m not sure how long this range is going to be stocked for so I will definitely be going back soon to stock up on these before the end of the season!
They also had their advent calendar on display which is looks fantastic. There were quite a few full size products and there was a miniature candy cane shower gel which I really hope they bring out a full size version of this. I haven’t tried the Body Shop’s beauty advent calendar before but I am very tempted to treat myself to it this year.
There was product demos of their Spa Of The World body scrubs and body creams. They smell gorgeous and remind me of the products used when you have a spa treatment. I went for the African Ximenia scrub which was recommended to me and I’ve seen a difference already.
I loved looking at the make-up range as I’ve not had many of the products from that range before. There was so many products to choose from, I had been looking for a new lip product in a slightly different shade that I tend to go for. I was recommended the Matte Lip Liquid in Tuscany Lily which is a darker shade that I would normally go for but I love it and it feels very autumnal.
One of the products that I have used for years is the body butters but they have now released their body yoghurts which are just as nice and they all smelt amazing, I wanted to buy them all!
After we had finished browsing the store, we headed to the till to make our purchases and we were given a lovely goody bag which had lots of gorgeous samples in, a makeup bag and a full-size face mask which I can’t wait to try out.
I had such a lovely time at the event and it was the perfect way to end the weekend. It was nice to be able to catch up with some of the Bournemouth Bloggers and I’m looking forward to trying out my new products.
I was invited to The Body Shop event with the Bournemouth Bloggers however all opinions and photos are my own.
