I’ve been a huge fan of Lush for quite a few years now. I can rarely walk past one of their stores without popping in and treating myself. I love walking around the store smelling all of the products and looking at all the delicious bath bombs. I was very excited when I received the email inviting me along with the Bournemouth Bloggers to go and see their new seasonal ranges.
We headed down to the Bournemouth store last Tuesday evening. On arrival we were greeted by the friendly staff and given prosecco in one of the little black tubs, once you have five empty tubs you can take them into the store and get a free face mask.
We were introduced to the team and given our itinerary for the evening. We were then told to get into pairs for our icebreaker which was to give each other an arm massage with one of their massage bars. I paired up with Marie of Mrs Enchanting World and we went for the pearl massage bar which smelt amazing and it was lovely to use. Afterwards we used one of the dusting powders which complemented the massage bar perfectly.
It was a very interactive evening which allowed us to get an insight to how the products are made which is something that I had been interested to learn. First of all, we were given the chance to make the Shoot For The Stars bath bomb, it was actually easier than I imagined it would be. Mine certainly didn’t look quite as good as the ones on display but nevertheless I was pleased with it and we got to take it home in our goody bag at the end of the evening.
After we had finished making the bath bombs, we were then given the opportunity to make their festive cleanser – Buche De Noel which smelt absolutely amazing and even has some gold leaf in it. We were really lucky and were given a pot of the cleanser to take home with us and I’m really looking forward to trying it out.
There were also demos of some of the other products which I found really interesting. It was lovely to be able to look at all the Halloween and Christmas ranges especially Snow Fairy which is my all time favourite so I treated myself to a few of the products in the range.
Before we left, we were asked to choose a gift for our partner from the icebreaking activity and I received the A French Kiss bubble bar from Maria which I’m looking forward to using as it’s one that I’ve not tried before but I was advised by one of the team that it is great for helping to relax and unwind which is definitely what I need.
On our way out, we were given the choice of one of their new body sprays to be spritzed with. I went for Snow Fairy which smells incredible!
I had such an amazing evening which I thoroughly enjoyed and without a doubt I will be heading back very soon to stock up on some more goodies!
I was invited along with the Bournemouth Bloggers for the showcase of the Halloween and Christmas products, however all words and photos are my own.
